What is the dispute of Palestine and Israel and is it possible for any solution?

On the occasion of the Gaza Strip on the occasion of the Palestinian militant organization Hamas, the Israeli Air Force bombarded during the proceedings after the death of at least 300 people, killing more than 250 Palestinians. It is clear that according to the Israeli army, 3000 rockets were fired on the land of Israel, after Hamas, after which Hamas militant vehicles, motorcycles, besides motorcycles, Gaza stripes using paragraphs and boats Entered Israeli boundaries from the area. Since the last May between Israel and the Palestinians, this can be considered as a strong situation. The long and bloody conflict of the Middle East has passed to the rest of the future, which is not even a permanent solution in the near future. To understand the context of this conflict, a few important questions are being answered by the BBC. How did this dispute start? Due to the behavior of the Jews in Europe, the Zionist movement was to catch emphasis, aimed at the establishment of a separate state for the Jews. At that time the area of Palestine was in control of the Ottoman Empire. However, after the first war, this region came under Britain, where the Jews started moving large numbers and thus began to conflict with the local Arab population. The UK and France distributed the Middle East and in different states, but Palestinians remained under the UK, where the stress between Arab nationalists and the Zionist organizations increased. The Zionist organizations established the military group who started pressure to stress the separate state after the Second World War.In 1947, the United Nations voted to divide Palestine into two parts, one Jewish state and one Arab state, while Jerusalem (Beit al-Maqdis) would be an international city.  However, Israel was established on May 14, 1948, and the next day, Jordan, Egypt, Syria and Iraq attacked.

This was the first Arab-Israeli war, as a result of which, according to the plan of the United Nations, the territory where the Arab state was supposed to be formed, was occupied by different countries, and thus a tragedy was born for the Palestinians.  Seven and a half million Palestinians fled to neighboring countries on their own or were expelled by Israeli troops.

The Arab-Israeli War of 1967 further complicated the conflict when Israel defeated the Arab coalition and seized the Gaza Strip from Egypt, the Golan from Syria and the West Bank including East Jerusalem from Jordan.  Egypt also lost Sinai.

In 1973, Egypt and Syria attacked Israel to liberate their territories in what is known as the 'Yom Kippur' war.  Six years later, Israel and Egypt signed a peace treaty and Sinai was returned to Egypt.  Jordan also followed the example of Egypt by recognizing Israel some time later.

What are the two regions of Palestine?

Israel still occupies West Jordan, but it withdrew its troops from the Gaza Strip in 2005.  The United Nations still considers this area occupied.

Israel considers all of Jerusalem as its capital, while the Palestinians consider East Jerusalem as the capital of a future Palestinian state.

Currently, there are two Palestinian territories, one of which is the West Jordan and the other is the Gaza Strip.  There is a distance of 45 km between these two areas.  The area of West Jordan is 5970 square kilometers while the Gaza Strip covers only 365 square kilometers.

West Jordan lies between Jerusalem and Jordan, while the Gaza Strip is 41 km long and 10 km wide.  Seven kilometers of the border of the Gaza Strip border with Egypt and the Mediterranean Sea on one side.

Gaza is ruled by the Palestinian militant group Hamas, which has fought several wars with Israel.  Israel and Egypt strictly monitor Gaza's borders to prevent weapons from reaching Hamas.

On the other hand, there is an internationally recognized Palestinian government in West Jordan, in which the Fatah organization plays an important role.  However, in this small area known as the West Bank, 86 percent are Palestinians, while 14 percent are Israeli settlers who live in settlements that are usually far apart.

Most Israeli settlements were built in the 70s, 80s and 90s, but their population has doubled in the past 20 years.  Israel provides facilities such as water and electricity to these settlements and they are guarded by the Israeli army.

What is Hamas?

Hamas is the ruling Palestinian militant group in the Gaza Strip that has fought numerous wars with Israel since taking power in 2007.

In addition to these wars, Hamas has fired thousands of rockets at Israel and carried out several attacks.  Israel has also targeted Hamas several times with airstrikes.  Since 2007, Israel has been besieging the Gaza Strip with the help of Egypt.

Many world powers, including Israel, the United States, the United Kingdom and the European Union, have declared Hamas or its military wing as terrorists.

Hamas is supported by Iran, from which it receives money, weapons and training.

Why are Hamas and Israel fighting?

Hamas and Israel have a permanent stress. However, the attack on Hamas suddenly suddenly happened in which Hamas busted the first dozens of rocket, after which his warfare attacked Israeli populations after crossing the border.

The ground attacks took place mostly in southern Israel, with videos on social media showing dozens of people crossing border barriers on motorcycles, on foot or in vehicles.

According to Israeli media, after Hamas fighters entered Israel, they clashed with Israeli soldiers in the southern regions of the country.

According to the BBC's Jeremy Baker, Palestinian militants attacked several military posts.

A statement on Telegram from Abu Hamza, who claimed to be a spokesman for the militant group al-Quds Brigades, said that "their fighters have taken 'several' Israeli soldiers hostage."

Hamas claims it holds 53 "prisoners of war," including senior Israeli army officers, many of whom are being held in tunnels that Israel has targeted in the past.

In response to this action, Israel immediately launched airstrikes on the Gaza Strip, where hundreds of people have been killed so far, according to local officials.

Military officials say that 17 military compounds of Hamas have been targeted in these attacks.

Israeli planes also bombed and destroyed an 11-story building in the center of Gaza City.  Hamas radio stations were established in this building.  Hamas says it has fired 150 more rockets into Israeli territory since the attack.

Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a video statement saying that "we are in a state of war".  The state of will win this war.'

What is the main conflict between the Palestinians and Israel?

In addition to the delay in the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, Israel's construction of Jewish settlements in West Jordan and the construction of security barriers around them have made achieving peace difficult.  However, apart from these, there are many differences.

Israel claims Jerusalem as its capital.  However, this claim does not have international support.  The Palestinians want to make East Jerusalem their capital.

The Palestinians demand that the borders of their future state should be fixed on the pre-war situation of 1967, but Israel does not recognize this demand.

Illegal settlements have been built on the territories that Israel occupied after the 1967 war, and there are now about 500,000 Jewish settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

Another issue is that of Palestinian immigrants.  The PLO claims that there are currently over one million Palestinians worldwide, half of whom are registered with the United Nations.  The Palestinians say that these people have the right to return to Israel, while Israel believes that doing so could jeopardize its Jewish identity.

How will peace be established in such a situation?  For this, some steps will be necessary from both sides.  Israel must recognize the right of the Palestinians to an independent state, end the siege of the Gaza Strip, and end the blockades in East Jerusalem and West Jordan.

On the other hand, Palestinian groups must renounce violence and recognize the state of Israel.  At the same time, a compromise is also necessary on the issue of borders, Jewish settlements and the return of immigrants.
